36,500 registered bed nights
In March 2020, 36,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Turku Region (-49.1 %), of which 31,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 48 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 55 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 49 percent from last year's March.
19,600 nights (-59.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 16,900 nights (-27.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 137,000 registered bed nights (-9.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 22,800 (-28.8 %) for foreigners in Turku Region, in total 160,000 (-13.0 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased 15 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 15 percent compared to earlier year. In Turku Region, length of stay in March was on average 1.8 nights and in Finland 2.3 nights (+14.6 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Turku Region on average 1.7 nights (+3.5 %) and foreigners 2.5 nights (+3.3 %).
20,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 56 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.3 percent were domestic, and 10.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Turku Region on average 1.7 nights (+0.23) and foreigners 2.5 nights (+0.31).
