Registered bed nights increased 70 percent

In May 2022, 43,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Uddevalla (+69.9 %), of which 41,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 63 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 480 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 70 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (1,400 nights).

6,000 rooms (+126.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,900 rooms (+172.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 92,100 registered bed nights (+66.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 8,900 (+531.8 %) for foreigners in Uddevalla, in total 101,000 (+78.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Uddevalla out of total registered bed nights was 0.8 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

20,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 96 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.6 percent were domestic, and 6.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Uddevalla on average 2.2 nights (-0.31) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-1.0).
