Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased one percent

In December 2019, 3,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Upplands-Bro (+0.6 %), of which 3,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 63 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased one percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased two percent. In total, registered bed nights increased one percent from last year's December.

470 rooms (-5.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,100 rooms (+6.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 49,300 registered bed nights (+0.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 740 (-25.0 %) for foreigners in Upplands-Bro, in total 50,100 (+0.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+0.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+1.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 764,000 nights (-2.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Upplands-Bro out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 1.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased five percent compared to earlier year. In Upplands-Bro, length of stay in December was on average 1.1 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (-2.1 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Upplands-Bro on average 1.1 nights (+0.5 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-10.7 %).

2,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.8 percent were domestic, and 1.2 percent were from foreign countries.
