Registered bed nights increased two percent
In August 2019, 148,000 bed nights were recorded in Uppsala County (+2.3 %), of which 125,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 22,200 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased less than one percent and foreign bed nights increased 19 percent. In total, bed nights increased two percent from last year's August.
Between January and August, 716,000 bed nights (-2.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 114,000 (+10.1 %) for foreigners in Uppsala County, in total 830,000 (-0.6 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
