Registered bed nights increased 49 percent

In February 2022, 48,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Uppsala County (+49.0 %), of which 43,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 43 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 152 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 49 percent from last year's February.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (740 nights).

13,800 rooms were booked by leisure visitors and 15,700 rooms by business visitors.

Between January and February, 83,400 registered bed nights (+52.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,600 (+131.4 %) for foreigners in Uppsala County, in total 93,100 (+58.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.7 percent

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+11.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-2.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 577,000 nights (+162.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Uppsala County out of total registered bed nights was 1.7 % (+0.4 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.8 %.

25,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Of all registered arrivals, 89.7 percent were domestic, and 10.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Uppsala County on average 1.9 nights and foreigners 1.8 nights.
