70,100 registered bed nights

In November 2018, 70,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Uppsala County (-1.6 %), of which 61,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 26 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased two percent from last year's November.

16,600 rooms (+5.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 30,800 rooms (-4.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and November, 940,000 registered bed nights (+6.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 135,000 (-23.0 %) for foreigners in Uppsala County, in total 1.1 million (+1.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+2.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+0.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 784,000 nights (+9.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Uppsala County out of total registered bed nights was 2.0 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.2 % and foreign bed nights 1.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased six percent compared to earlier year. In Uppsala County, length of stay in November was on average 1.6 nights and in Sweden 1.8 nights (-2.5 %).

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Uppsala County on average 1.6 nights (-2.6 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-6.3 %).

43,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.3 percent were domestic, and 9.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Uppsala County on average 1.6 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.36).
