Registered bed nights increased three percent
In September 2019, 2,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Utsjoki (+2.7 %), of which 2,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 360 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased three percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's September.
2,000 nights (-2.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 370 nights (+40.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and September, 15,300 registered bed nights (-0.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,900 (+7.3 %) for foreigners in Utsjoki, in total 21,200 (+1.8 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 16 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.6 percent were domestic, and 14.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Utsjoki on average 1.5 nights (-0.25) and foreigners 1.6 nights (+0.13).
