Total of 17,100 bed nights (+3.6 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Vaasa in December 2018. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 82 % and non-registered 18 %.
Between January and December, the number of paid bed nights was 298,000 (+6.2 %). Share of registered was 86 % and non-registered 14 %.

In December 2018, 14,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Vaasa (-1.4 %), of which 11,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased five percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased one percent from last year's December.
5,800 nights (+3.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 8,200 nights (-4.4 %) by business visitors.

Total accommodation sales in December were 926,000 euro (-25,000). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 7.2 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 859,000 euro (-55,700) and non-registered sales 66,500 euro (+30,700).
Total January-December sales were 17.8 million euro and they increased 884,000 euro from the previous year.
