Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 54 percent

In February 2023, 3,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Vadstena (+54.4 %), of which 3,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 34 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 55 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased six percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 54 percent from last year's February.

1,300 rooms (+31.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 790 rooms (+236.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 5,600 registered bed nights (+59.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 82 (+7.9 %) for foreigners in Vadstena, in total 5,700 (+58.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vadstena out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 1.2 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. In Vadstena, length of stay in February was on average 1.2 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vadstena on average 1.2 nights (-2.0 %) and foreigners 1.3 nights (+0.2 %).

2,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 57 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.0 percent were domestic, and 1.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vadstena on average 1.2 nights (-0.01) and foreigners 1.3 nights (-2.0).
