Registered bed nights increased 176 percent

In December 2021, 3,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Vadstena (+175.9 %), of which 3,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 137 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 172 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 330 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 176 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United Kingdom (68 nights).

1,500 rooms (+152.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 720 rooms (+510.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 105,000 registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,600 (+99.3 %) for foreigners in Vadstena, in total 109,000 (+5.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vadstena out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

2,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 230 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.0 percent were domestic, and 3.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vadstena on average 1.3 nights (-0.25) and foreigners 1.7 nights (+0.13).
