Registered bed nights increased 29 percent

In September 2021, 9,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Vadstena (+28.5 %), of which 8,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 810 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 23 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 144 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 29 percent from last year's September.

3,200 rooms (+23.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,000 rooms (-2.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 91,500 registered bed nights (-1.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,100 (+93.4 %) for foreigners in Vadstena, in total 95,600 (+0.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vadstena out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

6,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 32 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.0 percent were domestic, and 7.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vadstena on average 1.4 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 1.7 nights (+0.12).
