Registered bed nights increased three percent
In June 2019, 20,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Vadstena (+2.8 %), of which 16,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 26 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's June.
3,500 rooms (+9.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (+12.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and June, 35,500 registered bed nights (-4.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,300 (+31.5 %) for foreigners in Vadstena, in total 40,800 (-1.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased six percent compared to earlier year. In Vadstena, length of stay in June was on average 4.0 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+4.2 %).
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vadstena on average 4.1 nights (-4.1 %) and foreigners 3.5 nights (-42.7 %).
5,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 81.1 percent were domestic, and 18.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vadstena on average 4.1 nights (+0.11) and foreigners 3.5 nights (-3.1).
