6,100 registered bed nights

In September 2019, 6,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Vadstena (-3.7 %), of which 5,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 870 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 107 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased four percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (188 nights).

2,300 rooms (+23.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,100 rooms (-24.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 92,300 registered bed nights (-2.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 15,000 (+40.4 %) for foreigners in Vadstena, in total 107,000 (+1.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vadstena out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. In Vadstena, length of stay in September was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-1.3 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vadstena on average 1.7 nights (+0.6 %) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-42.0 %).

3,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.2 percent were domestic, and 15.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vadstena on average 1.7 nights (-0.11) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-1.0).
