Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 46 percent

In October 2020, 6,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Vadstena (+46.0 %), of which 5,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 112 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 62 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 76 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 46 percent from last year's October.

2,300 rooms (+99.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,000 rooms (-32.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 98,900 registered bed nights (+3.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,200 (-85.7 %) for foreigners in Vadstena, in total 101,000 (-9.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-23.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-15.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 450,000 nights (-51.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vadstena out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 1.5 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 14 percent compared to earlier year. In Vadstena, length of stay in October was on average 1.5 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (+7.5 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vadstena on average 1.5 nights (+7.2 %) and foreigners 1.3 nights (-17.8 %).

4,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 70 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.8 percent were domestic, and 2.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vadstena on average 1.5 nights (-0.19) and foreigners 1.3 nights (-0.86).
