Registered bed nights increased 90 percent

In April 2022, 5,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Vadstena (+89.7 %), of which 5,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 240 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 86 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 230 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 90 percent from last year's April.

2,100 rooms (+64.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 960 rooms (+669.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 12,000 registered bed nights (+92.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 400 (+115.2 %) for foreigners in Vadstena, in total 12,400 (+93.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.2 million registered bed nights (+64.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+46.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 791,000 nights (+260.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vadstena out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

3,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 102 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.6 percent were domestic, and 3.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vadstena on average 1.5 nights (-0.12) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+0.56).
