Registered bed nights increased 35 percent
In June 2022, 20,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Vadstena (+35.1 %), of which 17,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 21 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 650 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 35 percent from last year's June.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (1,300 nights).
3,700 rooms (+30.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (+288.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and June, 42,700 registered bed nights (+38.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,400 (+448.0 %) for foreigners in Vadstena, in total 46,100 (+46.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 43 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.2 percent were domestic, and 7.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vadstena on average 3.5 nights (-0.42) and foreigners 5.7 nights (+2.9).
