Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased seven percent

In March 2023, 5,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Værnes Region (+7.0 %), of which 4,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased four percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 41 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased seven percent from last year's March.

107 nights (+28.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 560 nights (+143.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 9,900 registered bed nights (+7.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 890 (-15.2 %) for foreigners in Værnes Region, in total 10,800 (+5.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 2.4 million registered bed nights (+2.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.8 million nights (+0.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 554,000 nights (+9.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Værnes Region out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 5.4 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 20 percent compared to earlier year. In Værnes Region, length of stay in March was on average 5.4 nights and in Norway 2.0 nights (-6.1 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Værnes Region on average 5.8 nights (-54.7 %) and foreigners 3.4 nights (-76.7 %).

940 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 34 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.2 percent were domestic, and 15.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Værnes Region on average 5.8 nights (-1.1) and foreigners 3.4 nights (-2.2).
