Registered bed nights increased 970 percent

In April 2021, 7,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Værnes Region (+974.1 %), of which 7,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 240 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 1,100 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 240 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 970 percent from last year's April.

149 nights were spend by leisure visitors and 260 nights by business visitors.

Between January and April, 13,100 registered bed nights (+146.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 670 (+39.3 %) for foreigners in Værnes Region, in total 13,800 (+137.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 883,000 registered bed nights (+166.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 788,000 nights (+184.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 94,300 nights (+75.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Værnes Region out of total registered bed nights was 0.8 % (+0.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay increased 42 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 42 percent compared to earlier year. In Værnes Region, length of stay in April was on average 11 nights and in Norway 2.8 nights (-3.0 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Værnes Region on average 12 nights (+53.9 %) and foreigners 3.7 nights (+151.4 %).

650 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 660 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.9 percent were domestic, and 10.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Værnes Region on average 12 nights (+3.8) and foreigners 3.7 nights (-1.7).
