Registered bed nights increased 43 percent

In May 2022, 12,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Vaggeryd (+43.0 %), of which 11,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 920 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 37 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 210 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 43 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (360 nights).

3,100 rooms (+20.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,100 rooms (+76.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 39,800 registered bed nights (+57.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,500 (+599.9 %) for foreigners in Vaggeryd, in total 45,300 (+73.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vaggeryd out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

5,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 50 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.3 percent were domestic, and 7.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaggeryd on average 2.5 nights (-0.08) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-1.3).
