Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 16 percent

In February 2023, 8,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Vaggeryd (+16.2 %), of which 6,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 15 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 22 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 16 percent from last year's February.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Lithuania (1,400 nights).

1,900 rooms (-1.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,900 rooms (+27.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 14,100 registered bed nights (+16.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,300 (+66.7 %) for foreigners in Vaggeryd, in total 18,500 (+24.9 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.3 percent

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vaggeryd out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 2.4 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased six percent compared to earlier year. In Vaggeryd, length of stay in February was on average 2.4 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaggeryd on average 2.1 nights (-18.4 %) and foreigners 6.7 nights (+97.3 %).

3,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 23 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.6 percent were domestic, and 8.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaggeryd on average 2.1 nights (-0.36) and foreigners 6.7 nights (+3.2).
