Registered bed nights increased 18 percent

In May 2019, 6,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Vaggeryd (+18.3 %), of which 6,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 280 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 19 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased five percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 18 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (116 nights).

1,700 rooms (+24.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,900 rooms (+25.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 18,700 registered bed nights (+1.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,000 (+36.5 %) for foreigners in Vaggeryd, in total 19,800 (+2.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.3 million registered bed nights (+3.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.1 million nights (+6.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.3 million nights (-5.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vaggeryd out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

4,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 16 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.6 percent were domestic, and 4.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaggeryd on average 1.5 nights (+0.03) and foreigners 1.5 nights (+0.02).
