Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 32 percent

In August 2019, 9,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Vaggeryd (+31.7 %), of which 7,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 23 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 77 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 32 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (780 nights).

2,500 rooms (+57.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (+6.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 41,300 registered bed nights (+14.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,500 (+96.9 %) for foreigners in Vaggeryd, in total 48,800 (+22.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.9 million registered bed nights (+3.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.1 million nights (+4.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.8 million nights (+3.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vaggeryd out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased less than one percent compared to earlier year. In Vaggeryd, length of stay in August was on average 1.6 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (+0.4 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaggeryd on average 1.6 nights (+7.3 %) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-4.3 %).

5,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 32 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 77.8 percent were domestic, and 22.2 percent were from foreign countries.
