Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 56 percent

In October 2019, 7,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Vaggeryd (+56.2 %), of which 6,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 560 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 51 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 155 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 56 percent from last year's October.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (240 nights).

1,800 rooms (+59.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,100 rooms (+35.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 55,000 registered bed nights (+20.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 8,700 (+99.9 %) for foreigners in Vaggeryd, in total 63,700 (+27.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+3.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+5.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 936,000 nights (-2.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vaggeryd out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 17 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 17 percent compared to earlier year. In Vaggeryd, length of stay in October was on average 1.5 nights and in Sweden 1.8 nights (-0.5 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaggeryd on average 1.4 nights (+7.6 %) and foreigners 2.9 nights (-0.5 %).

4,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 34 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.9 percent were domestic, and 4.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaggeryd on average 1.4 nights (+0.18) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+1.0).
