Paid bed nights

4,900 registered bed nights

In May 2020, 4,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Vaggeryd (-22.7 %), of which 4,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 590 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 29 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 112 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 23 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (220 nights).

1,600 rooms (-7.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 930 rooms (-51.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 20,400 registered bed nights (+8.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 920 (-10.7 %) for foreigners in Vaggeryd, in total 21,300 (+7.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.2 million registered bed nights (-58.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.1 million nights (-49.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 176,000 nights (-86.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vaggeryd out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay increased 35 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 35 percent compared to earlier year. In Vaggeryd, length of stay in May was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (+30.7 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaggeryd on average 1.9 nights (+11.7 %) and foreigners 5.4 nights (+54.1 %).

2,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 43 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.5 percent were domestic, and 4.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaggeryd on average 1.9 nights (+0.37) and foreigners 5.4 nights (+3.9).
