Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased three percent

In July 2020, 11,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Vaggeryd (+3.0 %), of which 10,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 610 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 36 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 81 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's July.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (250 nights).

4,100 rooms (+17.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 65 rooms (-30.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and July, 36,500 registered bed nights (+6.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,300 (-57.6 %) for foreigners in Vaggeryd, in total 38,800 (-2.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 9.4 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 8.8 million nights (-5.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 551,000 nights (-86.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vaggeryd out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Vaggeryd, length of stay in July was on average 1.8 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-0.2 %).

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaggeryd on average 1.8 nights (+9.7 %) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+60.3 %).

6,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased five percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.2 percent were domestic, and 3.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaggeryd on average 1.8 nights (+0.19) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+0.66).
