Registered bed nights increased six percent
In April 2022, 2,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Valdemarsvik (+5.6 %), of which 2,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 220 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 220 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased six percent from last year's April.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (66 nights).
195 rooms (-13.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 181 rooms (+17.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 5,400 registered bed nights (+6.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 410 (+264.6 %) for foreigners in Valdemarsvik, in total 5,800 (+12.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.6 percent were domestic, and 7.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Valdemarsvik on average 2.2 nights (-0.16) and foreigners 2.6 nights (-0.28).
