Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 11 percent

In June 2022, 11,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Valdemarsvik (+11.4 %), of which 9,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 220 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 11 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (1,200 nights).

640 rooms (-18.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 194 rooms (+787.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 20,200 registered bed nights (+0.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,400 (+227.8 %) for foreigners in Valdemarsvik, in total 23,600 (+11.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.9 million registered bed nights (+39.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.2 million nights (+17.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+259.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Valdemarsvik out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 2.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Valdemarsvik, length of stay in June was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-13.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Valdemarsvik on average 2.2 nights (-6.9 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+1.4 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 22 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 81.2 percent were domestic, and 18.8 percent were from foreign countries.
