4,800 registered bed nights

In December 2018, 4,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Vänersborg (-34.8 %), of which 3,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 870 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 34 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 40 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 35 percent from last year's December.

620 rooms (-63.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,100 rooms (-41.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 119,000 registered bed nights (+1.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 24,700 (-42.5 %) for foreigners in Vänersborg, in total 144,000 (-10.2 %) registered nights.

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 17 percent compared to earlier year. In Vänersborg, length of stay in December was on average 1.9 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-0.1 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vänersborg on average 2.0 nights (+26.5 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (+20.3 %).

2,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 44 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 79.4 percent were domestic, and 20.6 percent were from foreign countries.
