18,100 registered bed nights

In June 2020, 18,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Vantaa (-84.8 %), of which 14,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 80 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 92 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 85 percent from last year's June.

8,600 nights (-86.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 9,500 nights (-83.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 192,000 registered bed nights (-49.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 78,300 (-61.1 %) for foreigners in Vantaa, in total 271,000 (-53.6 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.6 percent

Total of 1.1 million registered bed nights (-50.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (-36.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 50,900 nights (-91.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vantaa out of total registered bed nights was 1.6 % (-3.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 7.3 %.

7,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 90 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 73.9 percent were domestic, and 26.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vantaa on average 2.4 nights (+0.84) and foreigners 1.8 nights (+0.52).

Registered accommodation sales in June were 1.1 million euro (-6.9 million).

Registered January-June sales were 17.9 million euro and they decreased 22.5 million euro from the previous year.
