In December 2018, 84,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Vantaa (+0.5 %), of which 54,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 29,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased seven percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 10 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased less than one percent from last year's December.
40,900 nights (+8.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 43,900 nights (-5.9 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 702,000 registered bed nights (+4.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 414,000 (-1.2 %) for foreigners in Vantaa, in total 1.1 million (+2.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased less than one percent compared to earlier year. In Vantaa, length of stay in December was on average 1.4 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (+1.4 %).
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vantaa on average 1.5 nights (+4.4 %) and foreigners 1.3 nights (-4.3 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 62.7 percent were domestic, and 37.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vantaa on average 1.5 nights (+0.05) and foreigners 1.3 nights (-0.09).
