35,900 registered bed nights

In July 2020, 35,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Vantaa (-72.6 %), of which 28,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 67 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 84 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 73 percent from last year's July.

19,400 nights (-78.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 16,500 nights (-57.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and July, 221,000 registered bed nights (-52.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 85,600 (-65.2 %) for foreigners in Vantaa, in total 306,000 (-57.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.4 percent

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (-21.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-1.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 142,000 nights (-82.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vantaa out of total registered bed nights was 1.4 % (-2.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 5.1 %.

20,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 77 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 78.1 percent were domestic, and 21.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vantaa on average 1.8 nights (+0.29) and foreigners 1.6 nights (+0.26).
