Vara: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
1,700 registered bed nights
In December 2021, 1,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Vara, of which 1,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 159 nights by foreigners.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Lithuania (59 nights).
520 rooms were booked by leisure visitors and 650 rooms by business visitors.
Between January and December, 24,400 registered bed nights were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,200 for foreigners in Vara, in total 26,600 registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Of all registered arrivals, 95.6 percent were domestic, and 4.4 percent were from foreign countries.
