Registered bed nights increased 220 percent

In April 2021, 1,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Vara (+222.3 %), of which 1,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 123 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 220 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 310 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 220 percent from last year's April.

480 rooms (+342.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 520 rooms (+116.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 4,100 registered bed nights (-8.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 580 (+113.8 %) for foreigners in Vara, in total 4,600 (-1.2 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.1 percent

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vara out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 196 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.4 percent were domestic, and 4.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vara on average 1.7 nights (+0.1) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+1.3).
