1,700 registered bed nights (August)

In August 2020, 1,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Vara (-47.3 %), of which 1,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 104 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 44 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 73 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 47 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (4.0 nights).

510 rooms (-54.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 650 rooms (-23.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 9,400 registered bed nights (-47.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 840 (-48.9 %) for foreigners in Vara, in total 10,200 (-47.6 %) registered nights.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 50 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.3 percent were domestic, and 4.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vara on average 1.7 nights (+0.15) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-0.3).
