In March 2020, 1,100 bed nights were recorded in Vara (-47.2 %), of which 1,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 66 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 47 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 44 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 47 percent from last year's March.

330 rooms (-49.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 530 rooms (-40.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 4,000 bed nights (-17.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 240 (+12.2 %) for foreigners in Vara, in total 4,200 (-15.9 %) nights.

630 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 55 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 94.4 percent were domestic, and 5.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vara on average 1.8 nights (+0.27) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+0.19).
