April 2021

5,500 registered bed nights

In April 2021, 5,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Varkaus Region, of which 5,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 51 nights by foreigners.

2,100 nights were spend by leisure visitors and 3,400 nights by business visitors.

Between January and April, 17,500 registered bed nights were recorded for domestic visitors and 260 for foreigners in Varkaus Region, in total 17,800 registered nights.

Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Total of 780,000 registered bed nights (+310.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 727,000 nights (+319.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 53,100 nights (+216.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Varkaus Region out of total registered bed nights was 0.7 %, out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.
