Registered bed nights increased 62 percent

In April 2021, 9,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Värmdö (+61.5 %), of which 9,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 174 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 63 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased three percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 62 percent from last year's April.

2,800 rooms (+129.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 910 rooms (+36.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 28,900 registered bed nights (-5.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 560 (-51.9 %) for foreigners in Värmdö, in total 29,400 (-6.9 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Värmdö out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

6,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 103 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.2 percent were domestic, and 1.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Värmdö on average 1.5 nights (-0.36) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-0.95).
