Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased six percent

In September 2018, 20,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Värmdö (+5.9 %), of which 20,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 510 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 67 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased six percent from last year's September.

2,400 rooms (+13.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 9,200 rooms (+4.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 142,000 registered bed nights (+0.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 10,700 (-45.2 %) for foreigners in Värmdö, in total 152,000 (-5.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (-0.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.3 million nights (-1.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (+2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Värmdö out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Värmdö, length of stay in September was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (+0.8 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Värmdö on average 1.7 nights (-12.7 %) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-53.3 %).

12,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.3 percent were domestic, and 1.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Värmdö on average 1.7 nights (+0.08) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-0.54).
