Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 43 percent

In January 2020, 9,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Värmdö (+42.5 %), of which 9,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 350 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 43 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 28 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 43 percent from last year's January.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from India (52 nights).

1,400 rooms (+64.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,100 rooms (-6.3 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 797,000 nights (-0.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Värmdö out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased 29 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 29 percent compared to earlier year. In Värmdö, length of stay in January was on average 1.8 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-2.0 %).

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Värmdö on average 1.8 nights and foreigners 2.4 nights .

5,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.2 percent were domestic, and 2.8 percent were from foreign countries.
