Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 90 percent

In December 2021, 10,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Värmdö (+90.4 %), of which 10,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 180 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 93 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 16 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 90 percent from last year's December.

2,600 rooms (+88.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,000 rooms (+362.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 193,000 registered bed nights (+21.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,900 (+90.5 %) for foreigners in Värmdö, in total 200,000 (+23.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Värmdö out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 1.4 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 29 percent compared to earlier year. In Värmdö, length of stay in December was on average 1.4 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-24.9 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Värmdö on average 1.4 nights (-13.3 %) and foreigners 1.5 nights (+21.8 %).

7,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 167 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.3 percent were domestic, and 1.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Värmdö on average 1.4 nights (-0.59) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-0.44).
