Registered bed nights increased 14 percent
In August 2022, 302,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Värmland County (+14.4 %), of which 165,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 137,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 46 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 14 percent from last year's August.
38,200 rooms (+14.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 30,500 rooms (+27.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 924,000 registered bed nights (-16.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 582,000 (+157.4 %) for foreigners in Värmland County, in total 1.5 million (+12.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
4,300 registered bed nights (Degerfors)
In August 2022, 4,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Degerfors (-7.1 %), of which 2,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased six percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased seven percent from last year's August.
380 rooms (+0.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 110 rooms (-70.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 14,200 registered bed nights (-2.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,000 (+47.3 %) for foreigners in Degerfors, in total 18,200 (+5.6 %) registered nights.

8,000 registered bed nights (Karlskoga)
In August 2022, 8,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlskoga (-7.7 %), of which 6,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 18 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 58 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased eight percent from last year's August.
1,100 rooms (+0.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (-29.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 41,900 registered bed nights (+15.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 8,800 (+144.6 %) for foreigners in Karlskoga, in total 50,600 (+27.3 %) registered nights.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 17 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 59.3 percent were domestic, and 40.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Värmland County on average 1.9 nights (-0.12) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-0.01).
