Registered bed nights increased 65 percent

In December 2021, 135,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Värmland County (+65.0 %), of which 123,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 12,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 55 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 350 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 65 percent from last year's December.

Between January and December, 1.5 million registered bed nights (+6.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 292,000 (+67.1 %) for foreigners in Värmland County, in total 1.8 million (+13.6 %) registered nights.

Registered bed nights increased 39 percent (Degerfors)

In December 2021, 400 registered bed nights were recorded in Degerfors (+39.2 %), of which 380 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 22 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 39 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 38 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 39 percent from last year's December.

38 rooms (+26.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 310 rooms (+91.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 16,900 registered bed nights (+22.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,000 (+620.4 %) for foreigners in Degerfors, in total 19,900 (+40.3 %) registered nights.

Registered bed nights increased 126 percent (Karlskoga)

In December 2021, 3,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlskoga (+126.0 %), of which 2,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 121 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 240 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 126 percent from last year's December.

820 rooms (+280.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (+118.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 52,300 registered bed nights (+33.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,900 (-9.9 %) for foreigners in Karlskoga, in total 57,100 (+28.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Värmland County out of total registered bed nights was 4.0 % (-0.5 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 4.4 % and foreign bed nights 2.2 %.
