Registered bed nights increased 21 percent

In September 2021, 108,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Värmland County (+21.2 %), of which 83,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 24,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 43 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 21 percent from last year's September.

Between January and September, 1.2 million registered bed nights (+0.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 250,000 (+57.4 %) for foreigners in Värmland County, in total 1.4 million (+6.8 %) registered nights.

Registered bed nights increased 69 percent (Degerfors)

In September 2021, 1,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Degerfors (+69.4 %), of which 940 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 44 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 870 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 69 percent from last year's September.

66 rooms (-1.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 450 rooms (+72.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 15,500 registered bed nights (+20.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,900 (+634.3 %) for foreigners in Degerfors, in total 18,400 (+39.1 %) registered nights.

Registered bed nights increased 36 percent (Karlskoga)

In September 2021, 5,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlskoga (+36.3 %), of which 4,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 470 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 55 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 41 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 36 percent from last year's September.

1,300 rooms (+35.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,100 rooms (+12.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 41,100 registered bed nights (+26.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,100 (-15.4 %) for foreigners in Karlskoga, in total 45,200 (+20.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Värmland County out of total registered bed nights was 2.6 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.5 % and foreign bed nights 3.3 %.
