Registered bed nights increased 12 percent

In January 2017, 143,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Värmland County (+12.1 %), of which 121,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 22,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 14 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased four percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 12 percent from last year's January.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (11,200 nights).

14,600 rooms (+8.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 19,000 rooms (+8.9 %) by business visitors.

470 registered bed nights (Degerfors)

In January 2017, 470 registered bed nights were recorded in Degerfors, of which 380 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 93 nights by foreigners.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United Kingdom (69 nights).

0.0 rooms were booked by leisure visitors and 66 rooms by business visitors.

Registered bed nights increased 35 percent (Karlskoga)

In January 2017, 2,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlskoga (+34.6 %), of which 2,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 330 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 44 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased five percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 35 percent from last year's January.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (45 nights).

540 rooms (+37.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 910 rooms (+11.4 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+6.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+6.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 706,000 nights (+6.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Värmland County out of total registered bed nights was 4.1 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 4.3 % and foreign bed nights 3.1 %.

Length of stay increased three percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. In Värmland County, length of stay in January was on average 3.3 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-2.7 %).

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Värmland County on average 3.5 nights and foreigners 2.5 nights .

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 79.7 percent were domestic, and 20.3 percent were from foreign countries.
