2,800 registered bed nights

In March 2020, 2,800 bed nights were recorded in Värnamo (-42.1 %), of which 2,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 250 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 37 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 69 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 42 percent from last year's March.

720 rooms (-10.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,700 rooms (-45.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 9,100 bed nights (-19.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,400 (-38.2 %) for foreigners in Värnamo, in total 10,500 (-22.3 %) nights.

Total of 2.8 million bed nights (-37.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-33.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 405,000 nights (-54.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Värnamo out of total bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

1,800 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 34 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 92.3 percent were domestic, and 7.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Värnamo on average 1.5 nights (-0.14) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.73).
