Värnamo: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 97 percent
In May 2022, 8,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Värnamo (+96.9 %), of which 6,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 72 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 790 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 97 percent from last year's May.
2,400 rooms (+109.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,500 rooms (+74.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 21,700 registered bed nights (+73.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,800 (+550.1 %) for foreigners in Värnamo, in total 25,400 (+94.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

5,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 104 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.2 percent were domestic, and 13.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Värnamo on average 1.5 nights (-0.09) and foreigners 1.7 nights (+0.16).
