Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 10 percent

In March 2023, 5,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Värnamo (+9.8 %), of which 5,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 370 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 35 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 10 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (90 nights).

2,300 rooms (+35.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,200 rooms (-1.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 13,500 registered bed nights (+33.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,500 (-16.8 %) for foreigners in Värnamo, in total 14,900 (+26.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+4.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 747,000 nights (+15.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Värnamo out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Värnamo, length of stay in March was on average 1.5 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Värnamo on average 1.5 nights (+6.3 %) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-11.2 %).

3,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.8 percent were domestic, and 7.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Värnamo on average 1.5 nights (+0.09) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-0.61).
