Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased one percent

In November 2018, 5,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Värnamo (+0.8 %), of which 4,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased five percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 37 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased one percent from last year's November.

1,100 rooms (+20.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,000 rooms (-12.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and November, 49,500 registered bed nights (-10.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 16,300 (-6.4 %) for foreigners in Värnamo, in total 65,800 (-9.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+2.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+0.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 784,000 nights (+9.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Värnamo out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.5 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased three percent compared to earlier year. In Värnamo, length of stay in November was on average 1.5 nights and in Sweden 1.8 nights (-2.5 %).

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Värnamo on average 1.5 nights (+3.5 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-15.7 %).

3,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.1 percent were domestic, and 15.9 percent were from foreign countries.
