Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 20 percent

In June 2019, 9,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Värnamo (+20.2 %), of which 7,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 36 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 15 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 20 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (620 nights).

2,500 rooms (+95.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,500 rooms (-35.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 29,900 registered bed nights (+28.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,300 (-0.4 %) for foreigners in Värnamo, in total 36,200 (+22.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Värnamo out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 2.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Värnamo, length of stay in June was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+4.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Värnamo on average 1.8 nights (-6.1 %) and foreigners 3.9 nights (+39.5 %).

4,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 31 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.1 percent were domestic, and 11.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Värnamo on average 1.8 nights (-0.18) and foreigners 3.9 nights (+0.72).
