Registered bed nights increased seven percent
In August 2019, 213,000 bed nights were recorded in Västerbotten County (+6.6 %), of which 156,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 57,500 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased eight percent and foreign bed nights increased four percent. In total, bed nights increased seven percent from last year's August.
Between January and August, 1.1 million bed nights (+4.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 375,000 (+2.1 %) for foreigners in Västerbotten County, in total 1.4 million (+3.5 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
