Registered bed nights increased 98 percent
In December 2021, 67,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Västernorrland County (+98.5 %), of which 62,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 99 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 87 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 98 percent from last year's December.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Poland (1,000 nights).
Between January and December, 1.1 million registered bed nights (+19.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 106,000 (+70.2 %) for foreigners in Västernorrland County, in total 1.2 million (+22.8 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
