Registered bed nights increased eight percent

In January 2020, 9,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Västervik (+8.5 %), of which 8,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 114 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased eight percent from last year's January.

1,100 rooms (+37.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,200 rooms (+4.6 %) by business visitors.

The market share of Västervik out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 2.8 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 20 percent compared to earlier year. In Västervik, length of stay in January was on average 2.8 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-2.0 %).
