1,900 registered bed nights

In March 2020, 1,900 bed nights were recorded in Vaxholm (-23.1 %), of which 1,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 44 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 22 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 49 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 23 percent from last year's March.

158 rooms (-28.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 200 rooms (-61.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 6,200 bed nights (-7.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 145 (-56.1 %) for foreigners in Vaxholm, in total 6,400 (-9.5 %) nights.

Total of 2.8 million bed nights (-37.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-33.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 405,000 nights (-54.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vaxholm out of total bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

650 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 52 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 97.5 percent were domestic, and 2.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaxholm on average 2.9 nights (+1.1) and foreigners 2.8 nights (+1.6).
