Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased one percent

In February 2020, 2,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Vaxholm (+0.9 %), of which 2,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 76 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased less than one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 33 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased one percent from last year's February.

320 rooms (+60.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 194 rooms (-47.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 4,400 registered bed nights (+1.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 101 (-58.6 %) for foreigners in Vaxholm, in total 4,500 (-2.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vaxholm out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. In Vaxholm, length of stay in February was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaxholm on average 2.0 nights (-5.9 %) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-10.0 %).

1,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.0 percent were domestic, and 3.0 percent were from foreign countries.
