Paid bed nights

13,500 registered bed nights

In July 2020, 13,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Vaxholm (-25.2 %), of which 13,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 490 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 19 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 93 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 25 percent from last year's July.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (120 nights).

2,100 rooms (+10.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 61 rooms (-24.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and July, 33,600 registered bed nights (-3.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 980 (-91.0 %) for foreigners in Vaxholm, in total 34,600 (-24.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 9.4 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 8.8 million nights (-5.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 551,000 nights (-86.9 %) by foreigners.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased six percent compared to earlier year. In Vaxholm, length of stay in July was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-0.2 %).

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaxholm on average 2.1 nights (+19.0 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-7.5 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 20 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.7 percent were domestic, and 4.3 percent were from foreign countries.
