5,300 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 5,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Vaxholm (-5.8 %), of which 5,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 230 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 78 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased six percent from last year's September.

460 rooms (-4.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 630 rooms (-13.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 48,700 registered bed nights (+1.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,800 (-89.9 %) for foreigners in Vaxholm, in total 50,500 (-23.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-20.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 436,000 nights (-62.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vaxholm out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

3,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.3 percent were domestic, and 3.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaxholm on average 1.7 nights (-0.22) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+0.2).
