Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 35 percent

In March 2021, 2,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Vaxholm (+34.6 %), of which 2,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 31 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 36 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 30 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 35 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Finland (10 nights).

260 rooms (+63.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 74 rooms (-63.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 7,700 registered bed nights (+24.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 44 (-69.7 %) for foreigners in Vaxholm, in total 7,800 (+21.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vaxholm out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 2.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. In Vaxholm, length of stay in March was on average 2.9 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaxholm on average 2.9 nights (+41.4 %) and foreigners 1.1 nights (-48.4 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 38 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.8 percent were domestic, and 3.2 percent were from foreign countries.
