Paid bed nights

8,900 registered bed nights

In June 2022, 8,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Vaxholm (-15.6 %), of which 7,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 29 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 166 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 16 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (1,100 nights).

1,300 rooms (+26.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 370 rooms (-8.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 25,100 registered bed nights (-15.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,200 (+169.1 %) for foreigners in Vaxholm, in total 28,400 (-8.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.9 million registered bed nights (+39.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.2 million nights (+17.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+259.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vaxholm out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Vaxholm, length of stay in June was on average 1.9 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-13.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaxholm on average 1.9 nights (-9.5 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+9.7 %).

4,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 79.0 percent were domestic, and 21.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vaxholm on average 1.9 nights (-0.31) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+0.24).
