14,600 registered bed nights

In June 2020, 14,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Växjö (-53.8 %), of which 13,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 43 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 84 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 54 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (320 nights).

3,900 rooms (-53.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,500 rooms (-45.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 78,400 registered bed nights (-40.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,800 (-71.0 %) for foreigners in Växjö, in total 85,200 (-44.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.7 million registered bed nights (-48.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (-32.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 257,000 nights (-87.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Växjö out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

7,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 57 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.2 percent were domestic, and 7.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Växjö on average 1.8 nights (+0.18) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.19).
