37,800 registered bed nights

In August 2019, 37,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Växjö (-1.7 %), of which 27,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 10,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased four percent and registered foreign bed nights increased five percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased two percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (4,700 nights).

9,600 rooms (+5.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 8,500 rooms (-13.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 188,000 registered bed nights (+2.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 49,800 (+17.8 %) for foreigners in Växjö, in total 238,000 (+5.3 %) registered nights.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. In Växjö, length of stay in August was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (+0.4 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Växjö on average 1.7 nights (-1.5 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+7.9 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 74.3 percent were domestic, and 25.7 percent were from foreign countries.
