Registered bed nights increased 81 percent
In May 2021, 16,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Växjö (+80.7 %), of which 14,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 75 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 171 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 81 percent from last year's May.
3,200 rooms (+54.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 6,200 rooms (+58.0 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 50,500 registered bed nights (-22.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,000 (-9.9 %) for foreigners in Växjö, in total 55,500 (-21.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
